Frequently Asked Questions

Your products will be sold via the main gift shop and on corresponding pages throughout the web site. We will assume that you have more than one of each item (unless told otherwise) and keep listing until you wish the item to be removed or changed. You can change / remove items whenever you wish.

If you are selling items that come in different colours / sizes then these are counted as one item i.e. a Teddy Bear available in small, medium or large, in colours red, blue or green etc. will be counted as one item.

If you make more than one type of craft i.e. pottery and knitwear; we advise you to open a dual shop (Pearl / Diamond) to increase your search results.

Don't worry if your type of craft does not fit under any of the headings on our Gift Shop page as we will add a new heading for you.

Postage Prices - We try to encourage members to offer worldwide delivery. We display prices inclusive of postage and packaging so that customers know the full price before checkout. It is entirely up to you whether you wish to post worldwide or keep within your own country. (for more information see example on application form)

We try to provide as many options for customers to be able to buy from you, therefore we supply links to your web site if you have one, direct payment to yourself and payment via Walkabout Crafts.

Customers who are purchasing items from multiple members usually buy via Walkabout Crafts - that way they can browse various shops and add the items into the one shopping basket.
Customers buying from one member only, prefer to pay direct. Therefore we try to encourage direct payment and contact between customer and member.

When an item sells via Walkabout Crafts, it will go via our merchant banker. We will inform you of customers delivery address and arrange how you wish to be paid i.e. via cheque / paypal / bank account.
You will be required to adhere to our refund / replacement policies (as listed on the how to order page) If you prefer your own specific requirements we will display these on your profile pages. We inform the customer when an item has been dispatched and if there are any problems they come via Walkabout Crafts first.

Walkabout Crafts do not charge commission. However, please note that online payments paid via paypal or credit card either via Walkabout Crafts or direct to your own paypal account - will have the paypal bankers fee deducted from the total. Hi there, Sharon from Knitknacks here. I think I'm one of the newest crafters on the site, so thought I should say Hello. I'm delighted with all that Emma has done for me and for the site - how does she do it?!

I am a relatively new member of the craft world. I started up in business making tiaras and jewellery for my niece who was getting married waaaay back in 2005. But the craft that lead me to your website was my wire wrapped jewellery which I was taught by a lady in England. Although I have sold a few pieces to people via wedding fayres I felt I needed to introduce it to the craft world where I know people are always looking for something unusual. Emma WOW you are providing a huge amount of work for us all and I for one really appreciate it. I run my own website where I will be adding your banner to it in the next few days and a church website.
Nice to meet you
