Pretty Things was established in 1995.

Although I design and sell ready made jewellery, I also specialize in Jewellery repairs and alterations at affordable prices.

I can alter earrings and necklaces to suit your own taste. Whether it needs lengthened or shortened, earrings, necklaces and bracelets. Everything from costume jewellery to family heirlooms.

For those who have difficulty fastening your necklaces, I have magnetic catches. So if you have a favourite necklace you cannot wear, I will fit a magnetic catch or Toggle and Bar for you.

Do you have a favourite necklace and would love a matching bracelet or earrings to go with it? Not a problem - just send me the item and I will design a matching set for you.

Perhaps you have a jewellery box full of mismatched or broken items or simple outdated fashion jewellery - not a problem - simply post your jewellery and I will redesign into new pieces to suit your tastes!

Anything can be repaired or redesigned - ranging from Earrings to Funky Pendants, Classy Necklaces to Elegant Tiaras and Fascinators.

The most important aspect of the business is the personal service given to you the customer.

Repairs can be done by post (click here for postal form)- if required work is not listed above then you can either telephone or send your item with your requirements for an exact price of repair before any work is carried out.

If you have your own ideas, a special occasion or just a need for something different, please contact me for further details. I will discuss colour, length and style with you so that you have a piece of jewellery that is exactly made to your requirements.
I make jewellery to suit you, what your wearing, or for that special occasion, using top quality gold and silver plated components and beads.
Swarovski Crystals to add sparkle, Freshwater and Glass pearls for elegance and semi precious stones for something extra special.

Handy Hints

* Keep jewellery shiny by rubbing up with a kitchen towel.

* Don't spray perfume or hair spray onto costume jewellery.

* Lengthen short necklaces with a bracelet

* If you are allergic to gold or silver plated earrings -
- try hanging drop earrings onto gold or silver sleepers.
- Use clear nail vanish for studs
- Wear necklaces over a jumper or blouse

* Hat pins can be worn on a lapel of a jacket or coat and to hold a shawl or scarf in place.
