Hi, my name is Helen Hicks, based in Powys, Pethau Bach was established in September 2004.
My main passion is making children’s dressing up outfits. It enables me to indulge my obsession with different fabrics. I particularly enjoy trying to use up oddments of fabric and recycling bits & pieces as well. I can also make outfits to order for both adults and children - contact me with your idea.
I also make soaps & solid shampoos. I had been doing this as a hobby for some time before I started up my business. I have 5 solid shampoo recipes and 7 soap recipes, which have all been safety tested in accordance with regulations.

‘Minty’ Solid Shampoo Bar

Minty shampoo contains peppermint oil and finely chopped sage & mint leaves. It has a fresh minty fragrance & moisturising properties.

If you have never tried solid shampoo then it’s time to now! These bars a very easy to use – just rub them around your wet hair a couple of times (not too many, because they lather a lot). They are great for taking to the gym or for on holiday, as you will have no problems with leaky bottles. They also last for a surprisingly long time. They would make a great gift item for just about anybody.

All Pethau Bach toiletries are made to my own individual recipes, and they have all been safety assessed by a public analyst. This does not involve animal testing. They are all vegetable oil based and are tested only on humans.

None of my soaps and shampoos are fragranced with synthetic fragrances, only with pure essential oils.

Your shampoo will come packaged in a clear bag and tied with natural raffia. A full list of ingredients will be printed on the back in compliance with EU regulations.

Minty shampoo ingredients: Shampoo base (aqua, glycerine, sodium stearate, propylene glycol, sorbitol, sodium laurate, sodium laureth sulfate, soldium lauryl sulfate, sodium chloride,stearic acid, lauric acid, polyquaternium-7, pentasodium pentetate, tetrasodium etridronate), Mentha piperita, Salvia officinalis, Perfume, Colour (CI 19140 &42090)
