Hello! This is me behind my stall at a Craft Fair! Would you believe it takes well over an hour and a half to set up?
I live in Invergowrie which is just on the outskirts of Dundee on the east coast of Scotland. I have been crafting seriously for about 7 years now and, like most crafters, it all started as a bit of a hobby!! Well….this hobby has taken over at least two rooms of my house – not to mention all my spare time, but I do enjoy it. I love embroidery, gold work and cross stitch so when I’m not busy glass painting emus or knitting baby bootees on cocktail sticks – you usually find me with a piece of stitching in my hand. Please let me know if you want something stitched for someone special and I will try to help.
I like to try all sorts of things for my cards and wedding stationery and I try to use only my own hand-made embellishments as well. I’ve recently started trying my hand at modelling fimo – I’m not an expert – but at least it’s unique!
As well as cards, I like to have lots of different things on my stall and I make up little poems to go with beaded items like my spiders, or knitted items like my PC Monsters!! (My poems are more McGonagall than Burns though!!)
For wedding stationery, I usually discuss what you would like and then come up with a few ideas for you to see. If you like them, I’ll give you a full set of “proofs” before you order - so that know you are getting exactly what you want for your special day.
In my real life, I’m a “bean-counter” so I love the chance to be get out at weekends and meet everyone at Craft Fairs – it’s great when you start to get regular customers and people who look out for you especially. It’s such a compliment.
